Our CSR commitments

The EDF Group's Responsible Purchasing approach

Responsible Purchasing is at the heart of the EDF Group's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). EDF's Purchasing department works to ensure that the Group is a responsible consumer.

We are committed to decarbonizing purchasing, reducing our environmental footprint, respecting human rights and inclusion, and promoting the skills of our territories.

Our certificates and labels

Responsible Purchasing and Supplier Relations Label (RPSR)

The EDF Group is voluntarily involved in certification and labeling processes, which assess our commitment to improving our CSR practices and results.

These certificates and labels cover all the Group's CSR actions, in a spirit of transparency towards our external and internal stakeholders.

Prerequisites for becoming a partner

Corporate social responsibility charter

The EDF Group was one of the first signatories of the Corporate Social Responsibility Charter in 2010. This charter is currently steered by the CNA (Conseil National des Achats) and the Mediation Department.

It forms the basis for sustainable, balanced relationships and mutual trust between customers and suppliers.

Would you like to become our partner and work with us? We invite you to sign our Corporate Social Responsibility Charter.

The code of conduct

EDF's Purchasing Department has drawn up a code of conduct for all those involved in the contractualization process. It sets out the simple, essential rules governing the Group's relations with its suppliers.

The EDF CSR Suppliers Club

The EDF CSR Suppliers Club initiated in 2023 brings together EDF's strategic and willing suppliers to collaborate on taking into account societal and environmental issues throughout the purchasing life cycle.

We start from the principle that working around raw materials, water, decarbonization and the well-being of individuals cannot be done individually, and requires collective intelligence and the convergence of our best practices. Humility, transparency, experience sharing, collaboration, innovation and commitment are at the heart of the Club's raison d'être.

Listening to you: the supplier survey

With a view to continuous improvement, the Group Purchasing Department annually surveys its suppliers on their perception of the relationship with EDF Group Purchasing.

The aim is to understand the relationship, considering their feedback, and to identify possible areas for improvement and the resulting action plans.

This survey will be the subject of a webinar for feedback and discussion once the results have been analyzed.

Prévention des risques

Our health and safety policy

The aim of our health and safety policy is to make the EDF Group one of the safest companies in its sector, for its own staff, for contractors and for all those who come into contact with its activities and facilities.

Our high standards in terms of health and safety at work require us to measure the performance of contractors, particularly in terms of these criteria, in our evaluation, consultation and contract award procedures.
