Our certificates and labels
The EDF Group voluntarily commits itself to certification and labelling approaches which assess out commitment to controlling our impacts and to improving our practices and our results. The getting of these external recognitions is based on audits achieved by independent third parties, on our industrial and tertiary sites, and on recognised system of references.
These certificates and labels cover the Group CSR, in a transparency state of mind respect to the external and internal stakeholders.
Environment
ISO 14001 certificates
Since 2022, the EDF Group is certified compliant with standard ISO 14001. This international standard forms a framework defining the integration rules of the environmental preoccupations in the corporate activities to control the impacts on the environment and improve its environmental performance.

Clients relationships
CSR Commitment label
Since 2008, the social policy of EDF's customer service was recognised and labelled "Social Responsibility" by the French National Customer Relationship Institute. In 2019, the EDF Customers Division in France developed this commitment getting the "CSR Commitment label". It covers the activities of the EDF SA Customers Division and the customer service in both markets, the residential market and the business market (professionals, craftsmen, businesses customers and regional authorities).

Delivered by the AFNOR certification body, it assesses the integration level of the principles of ISO 26000⁽¹⁾ standard into the company’s strategy and management. It is delivered after an on-site assessment and the interview of the internal and external stakeholders. [In French]
Supppliers’ relationships
Responsible Supplier and Procurement Label (RFAR)
Since 2015, the quality of the relationships of EDF SA with its suppliers is recognised through the getting of the RFAR label. It is awarded by the French National Purchase Council (CNA - Conseil National des Achats), under the aegis of the France’s Ministry for the Economy, Finance and Recovery.

This label attached to the ISO 20400⁽¹⁾ standard, distinguishes French companies and public bodies that maintain fair and sustainable commercial relations with their suppliers.
Digital
Responsible digitalization label
In 2021, EDF was the first energy company and the first major company in France to get this label. Delivered by the France’s Responsible Digitalization Institute (RDI) then by the Lucie Institute, it recognises the actions initiated by EDF SA to promote a responsible digital, that is to say, sober in terms of energy but also inclusive, ethic, and with a high added environmental value for our employees and our clients.

The responsible digital is a continuous improvement approach aiming at decreasing the ecologic, economic and social footprint of the IT and of communication (ITC).
Diversity & inclusion
Label Gender Equality European & International Standard (GEEIS)
Since 2018, EDF and several Group subsidiaries wanted to get an international certification (GEEIS Label) to recognise the quality and relevance of their commitments in favour of diversity and professional Women/Men equality.

This label was initiated on the initiative of the Aborus Allocation Fund and of international businesses aiming at contributing to the implementation of a common European and international culture in terms of professional equality and at enhancing the corporate practices. It is implemented with the Bureau Veritas Certification, international certification body.
Other certifications
Some EDF SA Divisions and Group subsidiaries are committed to additional certifications, respect to the management system (ISO 9001 standard or ISO 19443 standard for the nuclear sector), the health and safety (ISO 45 001 standard) or the energy management system (ISO 5001 standard).

EDF is rated by the 3 following rating agencies: Moody’s, Standard & Poor’s and Fitch.
