NUWARD, a subsidiary of the EDF Group, is developing small nuclear reactors (SMRs) for the safe, low-carbon production of electricity and heat. Our SMR, called ‘NUWARD SMR’, will be simple, modular and prefabricated, with a design based on proven technological building blocks.

 

YOUR MISSIONS 💬

  • Defining and setting out the design objectives for your node, integrating all the requirements (modularity, constructability, operation, safety, radiation protection, etc.) and the relevant standards and technical references;
  • Defining the programme of activities, deliverables, design reviews and organising their production (in-house, partnership, subcontract);
  • Identifying and solving open points within your scope;
  • Managing deliverables production, especially :
    • Plant 3D model (structures, systems and components, etc.)
    • Interface data to support other NI design activities (civil engineering, piping, fluid systems, electricity, I&C, HVAC, Construction,
  • Modularity, etc.) and other partner activities (NSSS, CI-BOP, ....).
  • Managing technical analyses and preparing reviews
  • Integrating and ensuring that the NIB product meets the project’s Technical, Cost, Planning and Risk objectives.

 

LOCATION

Job based in  Lyon with frequent travel to NUWARD sites (Paris et Tours).

Desired profile

YOUR PROFILE  🙋

You have an engineering degree or equivalent and at least 10 years professional experience in general installation on nuclear reactor projects.

You have a solid experience and be able to:

  • Coordinate and manage the activities of the general installation team;
  • Coordinate effectively with all contributors;
  • Challenge solutions to propose an optimum design;
  • Show initiative and openness to implement new solutions.

Reading, writing and speaking English required.
