Short-circuit tests are an essential part of the technical process for the transformer before being installed on the network. The EDF POWER NETWORKS LAB high power station successfully met the needs of the JST company by making 9 short circuits on their equipment.

The EDF POWER NETWORKS LAB teams carried out these tests in complete safety and on time.

Building on this experience, JST plans to call on the skills of EDF POWER NETWORKS LAB again in the future.

The short-circuit tests on these transformers are special because they require, among other things, to intervene many times on the transformer bushings, more than 7 meters from the ground, to carry out measurements. These operations are framed by a safety protocol in order to avoid any electrical risks for the workers.
