POWER NETWORKS LAB has commissionned a new DC bench

Fulfilling the customers needs, EDF POWER NETWORKS LAB has implemented a three-phase rectifier bridge and its associated structure allowing to achieve specific tests rarely available on the market. This equipment relies on an existing test facility, and add a new capacity. The bridge with 18 diodes is designed for short duration tests, mainly establishement and cut-offs currents on resistive and/or inductive loads. It is able to withstand a maximum voltage of 4,320V for a maximum current of 8,500A during 0.1 s or 7,000A during 1s.
