Emile Pérez is appointed Chief Security Officer at the EDF Group as of 1 February 2017, replacing Patrick Espagnol who has taken retirement.
A Law graduate from the French National Higher Police School (ENSP), Emile Pérez started his career in the National Police as a superintendent with the Police Intelligence Division of the department of Isère before taking up posts as departmental Director of Intelligence in the Jura and in the Saône et Loire between 1985 and 1992.
After heading the Syndicat des Commissaires, the senior police officers' association, he pursued his career abroad as Police Attaché in the United States and Canada and later joined the National Police Training Directorate. He was appointed Head of the Office of International Technical Police Cooperation (SCTIP) in 2008, and in 2010 he set up and has since directed the International Cooperation Directorate at the Ministry of the Interior.
Emile Pérez has also held roles representing the French National Police, in particular at the European Police College (CEPOL) and the European Union Committee on Internal Security.
