Persefoni offers a SaaS (Software as a Service) platform that enables companies (groups and SMEs) and institutional investors to measure, analyse, plan, anticipate and make public their carbon footprint, by managing their transactions and the inventory of their emissions. The platform covers the various emission scopes (upstream, production process and energy efficiency, downstream), including scope 3, by recovering emissions from suppliers, whatever their maturity on the subject.
The platform also enables users to manage ESG reporting (CSRD, CDP, etc.). Finally, a freemium version of the platform is available, with an interface tailored to non-expert users, making the product accessible free of charge to SMEs.
Today, 4 of the world's 10 largest private equity firms and 4 of the world's 20 largest banks are already using Persefoni to calculate and publish their financed issues. Several international insurance companies and pension funds are also using the solution.
At the same time, Persefoni is working with private companies operating in a wide range of sectors, from manufacturing and agriculture to energy, textiles, retail, software and business services.
The solution developed by the American startup complies with the methods of the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Protocol and the Partnership for Low Carbon Financial Accounting (PCAF). Its platform is certified by TÜV.
EDF Pulse Ventures invested in the company in 2021.
Decarbonising a company's activities is only possible if it has an accurate picture of its greenhouse gas emissions. With Persefoni, EDF wants to support its customers from the moment they measure their carbon footprint, a necessary step in managing a strategy to reduce CO₂ emissions. This offer complements the Group's portfolio of services, ranging from the supply of low-carbon electricity to energy efficiency services.
