Le Bouseuh, Jigme, Alphacast, Prime and Brawks... Usually, the records of these content creators concern the number of their subscribers, which can be counted in the hundreds of thousands. This time, they've outdone themselves on the sporting field.
On Saturday June 1, in the stadium at Courbevoie, neither the gloom nor the rain could dampen the spirits of the streaming stars, invited by their friend Domingo to take part in an exceptional sporting competition. Their aim was twofold: to push back their limits... and to determine the best sportsman among them!
A mix of challenges
Archery, shot-putting, races, long jump, obstacle course and tug-of-war: the eight competitors had to complete 7 events in order to stand out from the crowd. Coaching and encouraging them was none other than Team EDF para-athlete Dimitri Pavadé, Paralympic long jump runner-up at the 2020 Tokyo Games: Dimitri Pavadé.
Behind this special day is an objective dear to the EDF Group, a long-standing partner of the French Handisport Federation: to promote parasport and, more broadly, to raise awareness among young people - in particular - of the importance of physical activity.
An audience success
This unprecedented event was broadcast live on Domingo's Twitch channel, where he played the role of sports commentator, alongside Xari. With just a few weeks to go before the Olympic Games, tens of thousands of Internet users were on hand to follow the exploits of their favorite streamers. For Domingo, who regularly puts sports in the spotlight on Twitch, this new audience success could well pave the way for other events...
