Fan Sections, Paris 2024's secret weapon in the stands

It's a first: party zones will be set up at every competition venue during the Olympic and Paralympic Games. The aim is to create a wild atmosphere in the stands.

As we all know, public support is essential for sportsmen and women: “The fans can be decisive for us in decisive moments”, explains basketball player Laëtitia Guapo, who is aiming for a medal this summer with the French team. “We're clearly counting on those who will be there to make a lot of noise and help us get on the podium.”

Sponsored by EDF, these areas will be able to accommodate 50 to 1,000 spectators, depending on the venue, for a total of 200,000. A total of 152,000 ticket buyers in the relevant category were contacted. For the Paralympic Games, specific “Fan Sections” tickets have been on sale on the Paris 2024 ticketing platform since May 20.

In each area, “mood leaders” will set the tempo. Drawn from various sports federations, their mission will be to bring this collective emulation to life, like orchestra conductors. Good humor and energy are the order of the day!

There are still almost 50 days to go before D-day, to give Paris the energy to shine... in the stands and all over France. For this final stretch, we're launching Le Grand Coaching, a program dedicated to recruiting and preparing these super fans.

Announced on Twitch by Doigby, the Grand Coaching marks a further step in a program that aims to make all French people the best supporters of these Games. To achieve this, you'll be able to count on a team of coaches ready to get moving and get people moving! They include content creators LeBouseuh, Katsuup and musician and producer Myd.

And for those who don't have the chance to join the Fan Sections, don't worry: many other sites will be open to all: the 2024 Clubs, the Parc des Champions at the Trocadéro... If you want to cheer on Les Bleus and share your energy, there's no better place to do so!
