On April 9 and 10, 2025, EDF Lab Les Renardières proudly hosted the CIGRE JWG C4/A3/B2/B4.75 working group focused on “Pollution Mapping” within the Materials Laboratory.
This hybrid seminar, directed by Mr. Marzinotto (Convenor) & Mr Pigini, convened over 30 international experts.
The objective of this Joint Working Group (JWG) is to develop a technical brochure focused on "procedures for the creation of contamination maps necessary for the coordination of outdoor insulation."
Leveraging the expertise and knowledge acquired from experiments conducted in natural "pollution" conditions in the dedicated Martigues test station, EDF R&D is making a significant contribution to this endeavor thanks to his Expert C.Pons.
The participants were afforded the opportunity to tour the large facilities of the EDF Electrical Equipment Laboratory, where they could have a global view of the remarkable capabilities of our laboratories in the field of network electrical equipment testing.
The enriching and constructive technical discussions were particularly useful and full of promises for the future.
